Carrot & Cream Cheese
Warmly spiced carrot sponge layered with fresh whipped vanilla bean cream cheese (no raisins!)

Indulgent Chocolate
Rich, moist chocolate sponge filled with decadent chocolate cream cheese for a deeply indulgent treat.

Lemon & Elderflower
Delicate elderflower drizzle sponge layered with a light Swiss meringue buttercream and tangy homemade lemon curd.

Raspberry & White Chocolate
Vanilla sponge filled with luscious whipped white chocolate ganache and an bold homemade raspberry compote.

Red Velvet
Classic red velvet sponge layered with whipped vanilla bean cream cheese for a timeless, elegant flavour.

Strawberry & Vanilla Bean
Buttery vanilla sponge filled with homemade strawberry compote and silky vanilla bean buttercream.

What Will My Classic Wedding Cake Look Like?

All Classic Bodkin Bakes Wedding Cakes are decorated in crisp white buttercream. You can choose an exterior style from the options below:

  • Semi-Naked – the sponge shows through; note that different sponge flavours will appear differently
  • Gorgeously Rippled – textured, elegant buttercream finish
  • Silky Smooth – flawless, polished finish

You can also choose a different flavour for each tier if desired.

Each cake comes on a white cake board and includes its own acrylic cake menu and allergen list.
Cake toppers and initials can be provided by Bodkin Bakes for a small additional charge, or clients may provide their own.


Flower Information

You can keep your cake undecorated or create a spectacular centrepiece with seasonal flowers.

  • All flowers are food-safe and provided by Bodkin Bakes
  • Seasonal flowers can be matched to your colour theme or florist’s mood board

Cake Tastings

Cake tastings are available in cupcake form, iced, decorated, and filled with fresh fruits, homemade creams, compotes, and sauces. These are available to order and to take home with you to enjoy at your own leisure.

Wedding Delivery & Assembly

Bodkin Bakes offers delivery and assembly for all classic wedding cakes, ensuring your cake is:

  • Delivered safely to your venue on the morning of your wedding
  • Personally stacked and decorated in situ

Collection:

  • Single or 2-tier cakes can be collected from the store
  • Cakes collected the day before must be kept in the fridge
  • Bodkin Bakes is not responsible for cakes once they leave the premises

Delivery Prices:

  • Within 10 miles: £60
  • 10–15 miles: £80
  • 15+ miles: £100+

Save the Dates, Deposits & Payments

  • £100 deposit secures your wedding cake date (deducted from final bill; non-refundable)
  • Remaining balance due 1 month prior to the event, unless otherwise agreed
  • Date change fee: £40 after securing your date
  • Cancellation: within 2 months of booked date without rebooking – 50% of outstanding bill payable
  • Dates are held for 4 days from initial response without deposit
