Sticky Ginger Toffee Apple
Inspired by a friend of mine whose birthday falls during the Autumnal months and who also has similar allergies and intolerance’s to me! Her famous pear and ginger cake is always dished out almost every time I visit. This sticky date sponge is stacked up on top of layers of homemade baked apple sauce. Drizzled in caramel sauce and crowned with a Swiss meringue buttercream. Topped off with a couple of dinky toffee apples, to add an extra flare.
This cake is also delicious made with pears!
